about colouring boys
Remarkable characters inhabiting unforgettable destinations.
Intimate gay stories unfold as the lines are brought to life;
Carefully curated worlds shaped by hand,
where queer imagination is always welcome to wander.
A page can suggest a place. A character can hint at a life beyond the edge of the paper.
ColouringBoys grew from a fascination with creating beautifully illustrated nude men, memorable worlds and the quiet stories that emerge when imagination is given room to wander.
Every collection begins long before the first line is drawn.
Not with a finished image, but with an atmosphere, a conversation, a feeling—
or simply the belief that every illustration can become a world.
Why These Men?
Beautiful illustrations can capture attention. Memorable characters make us stay.
We are drawn to people who feel as though they have lives beyond the edge of the page. Curious strangers. Quiet heroes. Dreamers. Friends. Wanderers. Men who belong somewhere, even if that place exists only in the imagination.
Every collection begins with a character before it becomes a world.
The illustrations celebrate masculinity in all its forms—strength and vulnerability, humour and intimacy, confidence and curiosity—because those contradictions are what make people feel real.

Exploring a more surreal side of the queer imagination.
Why Colouring?
Colouring asks for something increasingly rare: time.
A finished illustration can be admired in a moment. A colouring page asks you to remain with it a little longer.
As colour gradually fills the page, details become familiar, relationships emerge and imagined places begin to feel remembered rather than discovered.
Completing a page becomes part of the artwork itself.
Drawing Worlds
Every collection is built as though it belongs to a larger universe, where mythology, fantasy, history and contemporary life become settings for beautifully illustrated male characters and richly imagined stories.
Streets have histories. Buildings have purpose. Objects hint at lives beyond the edge of the page.
Even when two collections have nothing in common geographically or historically, they are connected by the same commitment to thoughtful world-building, expressive line art and visual storytelling.
Current collections include ‘Men Of Myth’, ‘Magic Boys‘ and ‘Hammer & Horn’.

The Creation
Every collection begins with research, sketches, references and a clear creative direction before a single finished illustration exists.
Composition, character design, architecture, symbolism and atmosphere are developed through an iterative creative process that combines hand-drawn illustration, digital editing and artificial intelligence. Every page is revised, refined and carefully art-directed until it feels at home within its world.
The aim is always the same: to create places that feel lived in, characters that feel remembered and illustrations that invite people to stay a little longer.
Looking Forward
ColouringBoys is designed as an evolving body of work rather than a finished catalogue.
New places, new characters and new collections will continue to expand the library over time, inviting returning visitors to discover something they have not seen before.
The journey is intentionally unfinished.
Every page begins with a line. Every world begins with an idea.
